Some incredible sounding team names at the Vuelta al Táchira: Alicanto Consulting G Kino Tachira, Gobierno de Merida Alcaldia Merida B Tesoro, Team Fam Birdman Level Up and Team Gesprom Evolution (with a US license for some reason)

Keep in mind these are the "Garmin Connect Plus" recommendations and garmin is known for making up numbers on number generator.
Also my numbers I inserted can be inaccurate.
Also it includes the workout I did.

You can scan the barcodes of everything via the garmin app on mobile, however, I haven't found a single product in czech'em that it works on. Kinda racist tbh.

 >>/58922/
I mean recommendations aside for an average man your maintenance calories are aleady 2200+, considering you're 2 meters or whatever I assume it's atleast 2500 for you.
I don't count anymore but I generally eat at the very least 3000 when I'm doing some sort of cycling that day because otherwise I would just feel like absolute shit at work the day after by noon.
I think finbert is right and you've been running on fumes for a long time especially when doing multiple workouts in succession

 >>/58915/
reckon that's a so called 'match' and you burnt it there, they are finite so -1 match for you
I feel like sometimes you can recruit anaerobic capacity more easily without blowing up and it seems like that was one of those days for you

 >>/58925/
I know but 3g of protein per kg is unseen amount. Even bodybuilder stay around 2g/kg max and you probably need 1.5 MAX. Makes me wonder how they came up with that number, might be 3 year old chatgpt because surely the recent ones know you don't need that much

well yeah, how many times do you actually go completely all out trying to beat your 40 min times, sometimes the climb is 30min sometimes it's more
maybe you just had a really good day
I have a PR on a local hill I haven't been close too in months because I somehow was able to go into almost heart attack HR range

Hello, yes it is me, the ofishel spokesperson for all Pol-acks at this world wide web alias, what nau.
Did he go for the infamous kofi break while the pedaling is still going on?
I am also sure he is bald under this helmet.
And he overcrowds promenades, shopping malls, hiking trails whenever he is not wageslaving for some funny scrapes.

 >>/58980/
 >>/58985/
My point was that whenever I hike on czechopolish borders, I often see poles with polish symbols and insignias. On their bags, on their clothes, on their caps, on their whenever. It happens so often that I actually started to notice.
No other country I meet does that. Not germans (for obvious reasons), not austrians, not czechs, not italians, not even slovaks.
It's curious.
Would you sign into Zwift and name yourself Bert BERTMANN GERMAN and ride with german jersey?

 >>/58986/
Well they don't want to be mistaken for Indonesians that's why.

Meself I am fed up with every other new, manly-related enterprise (clothes, bike shops, gun clubs, gyms, fishing shops) has to have a hussar related name.
Like in the burger internet every other guy with a backpack is "Lone Wolf".
Plus our truckers have to have at football scarf in the windshield, often the whole cabin looks like a kitchy shrine to the motherland.

At least you too go for another sin which is writing the name of you shithole village on the flag when you go spectate some sportsh.

> Watching bobsled for no reason
> Czech team flips on the first turn and does the whole race upside down at 110km/h
> German team forgets to bring the handles in and they ricochet down the whole course with handles sticking out on each side
This sport is pure comedy

 >>/59036/
I think that part of DE (south east) doesn't get much snow in general but I could be wrong. Lots of rain the past 2 days killed the snow in the lowlands as well

gonna go ride myself now, first time since new years day and it's -4°C I may not make it

 >>/59037/
Only one American made it into the sled. The other three ragdolled off the sides of the ice, absolute chaos. Then the driver did the whole course with no brakes and started freaking out after he crossed the line and couldn't stop

to cover the Suisse CX NC results, Kevin KUHN won it once again. in the womens race Neff with decent results in the world cup was mogged hard by big milkers Keller, the whole startlist reads like a mtb XC startlist there.

it was -21°C here this morning and I skiied for four hours quite comfortably, also laid in the snow last night with no clothes on

Do you get any negative effects from doing such prolonged exercise in the cold? I remember getting my throat pretty sore when I xc skied more as a kid, as well as getting some frostbite in my nose/cheeks.
Anyway, nice easy rape for me to start the week. I'm teaching a new course this period, first lecture starts in 45min and I'm slightly nervous.

Another Zwift race slips thru my fingers due to complete inability to sprint.

I think I just need to thrash the fatties on the hills and stop thinking I will do anything meaningful in a bunch sprint against a bunch of dudes with 1500W sprints

 >>/59132/
well yea obviously. Races that end in bunch sprints are slurpers so you most likely can get away, do a hard attack far enough from the finish until you get a 10s gap and then hold it high z4/low z5 until the end and baam easy win works every time

 >>/59134/
 >>/59137/
It was a 10 lap crit with a little 6% hill in the middle so I thought it would be more attritional but it really wasn't. I kept near front for every climb waiting for someone to make a decisive attack but it never really came. Alarm bells should've been sounding when I came over hill for last time at 170bpm (not even threshold)

so far he's a slightly more successful Portuguese version of Landismo so far with a team that can't into tactics, because their team leader doesn't need it, except when he needed it against jumbo-dopma and pas normal wout (with normal knee)

Speaking of blogposting, the conclusion of the nutrition saga is:
> calorie deficit, solved by eating breakfast
> stop drinking flawored mineral wasser you moron
> protein intake is still like half the recommended value on a workout day, will have to investigate and/or possible ingest some protein bar

Yes, this is a public house for oldfags who have semi-retired from parasocial relations as an area to explore and waters to chart.
Just want my favorite spot, same set of flags and a predictable set of interactions.
Only Malawibernd and Bertele may actually be under torty, the average bertfag age may be closer to 35.

> There’s also mention on Reddit of a frameset-only option, as well as a mid-range build with a SRAM Rival AXS groupset, the latter of which is claimed to cost $3,999

Bruh when are these prices going down. In 5 years chyna will dominate these markets

> "It's also a bit sad to see sometimes. When I talk to some riders, they don't dream of winning races anymore. They're already happy if they can pull off a good five-minute test, if the numbers are good," Alaphilippe says in the Sigma Sports Unplugged podcast by former rider, commentator, and journalist Matt Stephens.

> When I look at the new generation of cyclists... Some riders can't ride without a bike computer. If you just stare at the numbers, you no longer see the trees or the sky. That's a bit sad. You simply lose the joy of cycling.

Got snowed in today, still had to go to the dentist as part of morning shop run, had 3 near chute experiences and one actual chute, although more like a clumsy 5 second save that ultimately failed.
That potholes through melting snow-sand that give you illusion of grip are a biatch.

 >>/59208/
Wewz.

 >>/59210/
Nah, there's barely ever enough snow for long enough to even consider this.
Just don't be a retard and either don't go on a bike mid-snowfall or adjoost the path you're taking.
 >>/59211/
I bet this is where the fruit of my wagism go. Even if I chuted coming back from the dentist.

SON of a BITCH, like WEEKS ago Bertacek posted about Rhafal Rhaish going to FEIRENSE-BEECELER and I was like oh allright and only now I found out it was a ruse and it was this guy https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/rafael-reis1

 >>/59297/
Yeah everybody is different. I would certainly like it if I preferred longer cranks because everybody's selling their used 175mm cranks here and they are much cheaper than the shorter meme cranks because of that.

What is this bullshit he had trouble with almeida on multiple stages

 >>/59304/
they are just making shit up for interviews, everyone who paid attention knew that vingo looked mediocre in the vuelta but it doesn't matter because the LAB consoomer cattle eat it all up. Vingo could claim that he pushed numbers similar to pogacar at his best and the fans would be like damn 2026 will be lit 🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯

A week of writing down what I eat and drink is behind me and the results are grim.
On average, my RDI is:
> 60% protein
> 120% carbs if I drink sweeted drinks
> 80% carbs if I don't
> 100% fats
> 60% fiber
> 100% calories if i dont ride
> 70% calories if i do ride
keep in mind it might be inaccurate
and all this doesn't take into account the goal is set to lower weight by (that makes the numbers worse, like 15% extra worse)

thanks for setting me up on better track berts, i will definitely improve all of this in the coming weeks

> Yates' decision came completely unexpectedly. Not only for us, but I also understand within the team. [...] I was told that he was also completely unreachable for a while to arrange matters. And out of the blue, also for the team, he said he was going to stop.

 >>/59341/
you need to create a site called sumogames, where users can pick a team they think make it to the final rounds. half of us would immediately start watching with the added gambling (for nothing than internet points) factor

 >>/59394/
I do the pacer rides on Zwift for my endurance rides. Just psychologically easier than watching TV.

But then again I'm not doing your 2, 4, 6-hour rides. The most I'll do on trainer is about 90 minutes.

So my little Whoop gadget estimated my vo2 max and the results are grim. Not quite grim enough to contemplate breakfast, however

Well yeah because I just can't really see the entertainment factor in something like Zwift, it's just a meh looking virtual world where you see avatars riding. It's just really repulsive to me for some reason. With movies or tv series, I think of watching them as actually productive.
 >>/59397/
Yeah I guess people just think differently
 >>/59398/
What did you get for vo2max? Haven't looked at mine for a while but seems to have crept up a few points even if I haven't been doing any real big intensity yet.

 >>/59399/
Just to reiterate: today I did 2.5h endurance and watched Passage to India, a film I had thought of watching for quite a while as I really like some other David Lean films (this one was good, not as good as Lawrence or Kwai or Dr Zhivago but good). So for 2.5h, I did some good aerobic exercise as well as watching a film on my watchlist. If I had instead played Zwift, I would have got the same exercise but instead would've just passively watched an autistic virtual world fly by, and I would not have seen the film. The first option seems like a much better use of my time, and time flies much faster when you have a nice film in front of you as opposed to seeing virtual avatars go up a hill.

> The Tour de l’Avenir – one of the most important races for young riders – will welcome more than just national teams this year. Commercial (development) teams are also welcome, as Marino Amadori indicated in an interview with Bici.Pro.

Lame

> Picnic PostNL team manager Iwan Spekenbrink: “We need a transfer system like in football.”

> According to the numbers I got, LIDL-Trek paid €1.2 million to NSN Cycling Team as a buyout for Derek Gee-West, while INEOS Grenadiers reportedly paid €6 million to Picnic-PostNL for Oscar Onley.

> The exact number about how much UAE got for Juan Ayuso is not known.
only 1.2 million for GWest?

some more from Picnic PostNL team manager Iwan Spekenbrink. He wants to make rider scouting and development his business model
> And when looking at those numbers and thinking about it all, the Picnic PostNL has a clear answer: "We need a transfer system like in football. In football, you can change teams, but you have to agree to a transfer fee. Now, too many games are being played in cycling, especially by agents. It's chaos.

> "Whether we like it or not, we need to have a system in place where if you have a contract, then there's also an agreed-upon fee. For that fee, you don't have to even negotiate; you can go. But if the fee isn't paid, the rider has to stay and respect the contract."

> “If you constantly build teams, and if you look at what we do, we're good at recruiting riders and at rider development. Two years ago, few people knew about Oscar. We have a way of finding talent, and we invest a lot in it.”

> “I am convinced professional cycling needs new, stringent rules to regulate rider trading and transfers. I want the UCI to act, just as I hope the UCI will act on race safety, governance, and the long-term future of professional cycling.”

It's an acquired taste. I acquired it from a Clobene.

SIRIRONNACHAI Sarawut, campeon from 2020, humbled, 5 minutes down on 7th spot
CHAWCHIANGKWANG Peerapol, campeon from last year, 23, 22 and 21, humiliated, 1:15 down
Athit POULARD is the new thailandese ITT campeon
BIG stuff

I know some guys who built up a dedicated rape frame with the bare necessities from china/used which is a lot cheaper and slimmer than a zwift ride but china doesn't even make frames in your size idk how the used market looks

Probably the most retarded take on the subject lmao
https://www.cyclingweekly.com/newsfeeds/should-the-uci-ban-worldtour-bikes-from-the-public-why-this-could-save-pro-cycling-in-the-long-run
> According to figures published by Domestique Cycling, the average Men’s WorldTour budget for 2026 has climbed to €33 million – a 4.5% increase on 2025 – while the median salary for a self-employed rider now sits at €350,000, up 5.6%. Domestique’s analysis, drawing on information from La Gazzetta dello Sport and newly released UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) accounts, suggests total WorldTour spend will exceed €663 million next season, with the biggest teams nudging €45–50 million a year.
Dying sport btw

 >>/59561/
I love how he starts his argument with bringing up the aethos as an example when that's a 12k bike in itself, not bringing up the fact that it should in fact not cost that much.
Maybe he couldn't find a good example at all

 >>/59563/
yeah, there's plenty of "mid" price point bikes and frames that are pretty much endgame for the hobbyist
if the fredbeast want to spend money on something he doesn't need why even care
the thing is they should use that money to subsidize those consumer bike frames and take 1k off the price for those bikes
like cube sends race worthy bikes for 4k or something

 >>/59648/
It's still a lot of money, I think you need to come from a wealthy family to be able to spend 3k per year on a coach, regardless of your income. But again, I'm still riding my old alu bike because I can't justify upgrading, so maybe I'm on the other extreme
