Self-defense is a countermeasure that defends your health and well-being from harm. To quote Marcus Tullius Cicero:

Judaism is a religion based on the teachings of the Hebrew Bible (consisting of the Torah - "Teaching", Nevi'im - "Prophets", and Ketuvim - "Writings"). Rabbinic Judaism also incorporates the teachings of the Talmud (consisting of a second "Oral Torah" that was not recorded in the original Torah and rabbinical interpretations of the "Oral Torah" and the Hebrew Bible). Jewish interpretations of the Hebrew Bible (and often the Talmud) culminated in the Halakha - "the way to go" in accordance with Jewish teachings.
Judaism revolves around covenants (or agreements, like a contract) with YHWH. According to Jews, YHWH is an omnipotent God that has a unique and preferential relationship with Jews. More specifically, Jews assert that YHWH entered into covenants with Jews where YHWH gives Jews blessings and property if Jews perform certain actions, like mutilating baby penises and sacrificing humans.
In short, the Jewish Torah is a book of Jewish witchcraft - a book where Jews enter into a contract with a supernatural being (YHWH) and receive blessings and property in exchange for committing horrific acts.
Among these horrific acts, YHWH seems to have a taste for sacrifices or "burnt offerings" - including human sacrifices. YHWH praised and blessed Abraham for offering his own son Isaac as a human sacrifice (Genesis 22), and YHWH offers to bless Jews if Jews murder prophets/dreamers/friends/spouses/children that "incite rebellion" against YHWH and if Jews mass-murder and burn entire cities of "infidels" as a burnt offering to YHWH (Deuteronomy 11-13).
To entice Jews to commit mass-murder, YHWH offers to "drive out" non-Jews and give Jews "a land with large, flourishing cities you did not build, houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide, wells you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant" (Deuteronomy 11:22-25, Deuteronomy 6:10-11) and "rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil" and "grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied" (Deuteronomy 11:13-15).
