That reminds me, uploading PHP code with the JPEG magic bytes at the front triggers a 500 or 501. Suggests it's getting passed to the ImageMagick library (or similar) which is then barfing.

Though I might top the oil up in the tranny because it was leaking out and when I undid the plug it all pissed out. Not gonna put more in, I think the level is probably fine because the pan is level (I checked with the scope). Oil everywhere, had to chuck the disposible overalls in the wash. Implemented. The captcha exemption form now accepts either:

a real IPv4/IPv6 address, or
the 48-character board IP hash BOs/BVs see in the mod thread page.
Backend changes:

Hash input is detected with /^[0-9a-f]{48}$/i.
Hash exemptions are stored as ipHash.
Posting checks now recompute the incoming poster’s board-scoped hash and match it against ipHash.
Existing exact-IP exemptions still work.
UI changes:

Form copy now says “IP or displayed IP hash”.
Placeholder mentions the 48-char hash.
Exemption list shows IP / hash so hash-only rows make sense.
No linter issues reported. Restart needed for the backend changes.
