Mr. Trump apologized for the comments calling it "locker room talk." Mrs. Clinton said the remarks called into question his fitness to serve as president. Minister Louis Farrakhan delivered remarks on civil rights and race relations at the "Justice or Else!" gathering held on the National Mall to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March. In his keynote address Minister Farrakhan called for empowerment, social change, and spoke about the role of women and Native Americans in the African-American community. White House Daily Briefing
At the daily White House briefing Sarah Sanders told reporters President Trump has 100 percent confidence in Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. The remarks came after the president said in an interview with Forbes that he has a higher IQ than Mr. Tillerson. President Trump's comment on Tillerson's intelligence came after the Secretary of State reportedly called Trump a moron behind closed doors, a comment the secretary of state denied. The press secretary added the president's IQ remark was in jest. Other topics included the Twitter feud between the president and Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chair Bob Corker (R-TN), tax reform, immigration policy, and the Iran nuclear deal.

Nation of Islam leader Malcolm X was interviewed by sociology graduate student Herman Blake and professor John Leggett. Malcolm X argued against racial integration and discussed the right for African Americans to use violence to defend themselves against violent attacks by whites. Vice Presidential Candidates Debate
Vice President George H.W. Bush and Representative Geraldine Ferraro (D-NY) met in Philadelphia for the 1984 Vice Presidential Debate. They debated a variety of issues including abortion and the U.S. economy. The first half of the debate was focused on domestic policy and the second half on foreign policy. The debate was moderated by Sander Vanocur. Other panelists were John Mashek, Jack White, Norma Quarles, and Robert Boyd. The same question was posed to each candidate, who had two-and-a-half minutes to respond. Follow-up questions from panelists were permitted. Candidates were given one minute for rebuttals and four minutes for closing statements.

Thomas Second Hearing Day 1, Part 2
The committee heard testimony from University of Oklahoma Law Professor Anita Hill during the first day of the reopened confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee and U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Clarence Thomas. Professor Hill testified on her charges that she had been sexually harassed by Judge Thomas when he was her boss in the Department of Education and the EEOC in the early 1980's. Professor Hill, speaking in level, measured tones, told the committee of her career, her relationship with Judge Thomas, and the behavior of Judge Thomas toward her in the workplace. She said Judge Thomas often asked her for dates, which she turned down, and often instigated discussions of sexual matters which she refused to take part in. She said Judge Thomas explicitly discussed aspects of pornographic movies he had seen, and emphasized his own sexual prowess. Professor Hill said she attempted to avoid opportunities for extended conversations with Judge Thomas, but transferred with him to the Equ....
