I'm a notorious aero bike and fred shit hater but if I would ride competition I'd also ride the ugliest bikes as long as they're better.
Makes sense finbert wants the best position because why compete at 90% instead of 100%.

I overall understand the appeal of racing TT. It's a hard effort, you need to figure out pacing and everything, and there is little luck involved, which is fun. The problem is that it's just a massive pay to win competition, but I guess if you can afford it it's OK.

Yeah I have one TT-weenie clubmate who always buys the new TT helmets that are released and then tests them on a velodrome to find the absolute fastest setup for him. He's the chief ER surgeon in the nearby hospital so he can afford it, heh. No wind tunnels here so that makes the most paypig optimization out of the picture for most.

not really 2bh as far as I can tell even the shoulders are properly squeezed I don't think there's much room for improvement, if you can actually hold that it'll be very fast. Easier said that done right, very hard on a road bike.

Alright, thanks for the input. Yeah fun to see how well I can hold the position. I did 2min suprathreshold reps yesterday in this position with short rests and that wasn't too bad, but continuous for 25-30min is more tricky (though at least there's the U-turn in the middle where you can somewhat relax). Sub-26min would be perfect, should be achievable with ~380W and an optimistic CdA of 0.25 but maybe sub-27min is more achievable.

this is a good indicator of how sheltered someone lived his life so far. You don't engage with scum unless you're confident you can take them out simple as, that should be common knowledge. You read about stuff like this way too often where someone gets beaten, stabbed or even killed because he engages one or multiple scummies over a valid cause but without a way to overpower them when push comes to shove. Don't do that because it's guaranteed that it will.
