I've did two late adjustments and they've both been a disaster.
> to almeida from whatever was the mix of gall, martinez, ricci,
> to laporte from whatever was the current +16 pointer, morgado, florian, tibor

Last squeak for the day, had a team with Strand, Vermeersch, Aimé and Van Hemelen. Just not touch it, fuck.
Ok thank you for readning my whinepost, sure I have had it all figured out.

> blog aspect of bertcyc helps with the motivation
true
I might give them another try but might need some rest before. also the 300w 1h ftp estimate from my ramp test yesterday is not correct imho, should be more like 280-285

> “We received a report ten kilometers from the finish line that Zingle had been taken out of the race,” says the Belgian former cyclist. “At first we didn’t know what it was about, but later we heard there were images of him hanging onto the car.”

> Reportedly, it was not Wynants, but general manager Richard Plugge who was behind the wheel. “Look, we regret the incident. This does not contribute to the image of cycling. It happened in the background after a flat tire and it did not affect the result, but it should not have happened.”

> “Once again: we regret the incident and accept responsibility. Just because something like this happens often in races does not give us the right to do the same.”

lol not an ounce of regret in that statement

> Evenepoel was also able to offer some nuance regarding the fact that he had to let Vingegaard—his biggest competitor—ride ahead. "His attack was very strong, especially with that crosswind. So it wasn't easy to follow," he said.

> "But once the groups had formed, due to the situation that unfolded, I did have a few kilometers where I wasn't suffering. Perhaps there was more to be gained, but this is still a good result for the team. The gaps to the second and third place finishers aren't huge either."

if his ego keeps inflating he might actually start flying up the mountain

I saw a race where Remco got dropped like a stone when Jonas accelerated a bit, then couldn't follow the rest either and also couldn't drop a group of shitters like George Bennett of all places so he was seething and gesturing. And none of this had any effect on Lipowitz. But maybe I saw a different race or something

€49 for PCS PRO is a steal when you compare it to many (glossy) cycling magazines:

30-50% actual content (incl 20-40% branded content or advertorials)
50-70% ads & photos
€50 per year for just 4 issues

With PCS PRO, you get full coverage all year long #NoAdsMoreStats

Veistroffer pre race interview
"I'm not tired neither when i wake up in the morning nor at night"
"There's some pretty strong italian guy who scored some KOM point yesterday it seems"
"Maybe i can defend the jersey if the planets are aligned"

Overall seems like a pretty cool guy.
Also you won't be able to tell but his french is very "countryside-esque" like good ol'

Oh damn, means I won't be picking him in my veloteam for the foreseeable future even when he comes back.
Anyway, finally back in Finland, in the trein home right now. As if the trip couldn't have got worse, my bike is apparently still stuck in Palma de Mallorca. Well I won't be riding outside in any case...
Also, any tips for the Gent-Wevelgem goomble?

also brennan has been sick, I've posted it before

> “He arrives today (Friday). He has fallen behind due to illness, but things are moving in the right direction.”

> “He might not play in In Flanders Fields on Sunday yet, but certainly in the week after,” said Van Dongen.

I give you this info for free

So after the grug 446w for 90 mintues people started complaining about the shimano power meter that were complete rubbish. Apparently any crank based powermeter on shimano is guarenteed to be wrong, and not by a little bit? Sounds crazy I wonder how many berts post inflated power number itt

I do believe the rumours of his death are greatly exaggerated, it was a 70k attack for 75kg guy with bad aero and non-extraterrestre W/kg.
But he will be spent today.
And he better watch out for satan's attack already from Denain, not menitoning RVV as it is already settled.

I am geschrpinting. Means it is not going to be a sprint, I am still paying off that one day GC lead to the Gods of ciclismo.

> "I still haven't received clarity from my team whether I will be allowed to stay in 2026. So, it seemed like a good idea to market myself during the Giro," De Bondt told WielerFlits, explaining that he told fellow Belgian, EF Education-EasyPost coach Ken Vanmarcke, during the race, "If you're looking for riders for 2026, I'm still on the market."
> De Bondt said he alerted several teams to his availability during the race, while Vanmarcke came back to him with a proposition ahead of stage 20. Not for a contract, but for a deal of sorts.
> "Before the team presentation of stage 20, Vanmarcke said to me, 'Are you planning anything today?'" De Bondt said.
> "'It's going to be very difficult for us to send riders into the early breakaway. But look, if you're in there and you can play a role somewhere that's important in the final result, something serious can come from that.' That's what inspired me to do what I did for Carapaz.

I've only ever watched a few femmes but they really just concede most of all races to wiebes for no reason. Nobody tries to drop her nobody tries a late attack nobody tries anything, its like they all dont care and just want a paycheck

Are there any other female sprinters? How does she just win every single sprint race?

In the men's field, there never seems to be one overwhelming dominant sprinter since the finishes are so chaotic. But in the women's races, it's like the entire field is doing lead out for Wiebes

Seems to me that in womens road cycling less than a dozen runners actually train a specific angle (sprint, punch, tt etc) that can lead them to win a race, the rest just seems to go with the vibes and do some basic aerobic training á la bert. That's why the races are so lame, hardly anybody does anything because hardly anyone can do anything.
It's not like that in track, mtb or cx. Must be the forced minimum salary here

> A devoted cycling fan and admirer of Marco Pantani, whose earring he wore during the Olympics , Émilien Jacquelin is embarking on a new challenge far removed from his sport, biathlon, in which he won two Olympic medals this winter (bronze in the pursuit and gold in the men's relay). The 30-year-old biathlete announced on Sunday that he will be joining the Decathlon-CMA CGM cycling team as a trainee with the development team to explore his potential on a bike for six months.

> The goal is to broaden my horizons. I want to step outside my comfort zone ,” he explained to L’Équipe . Fifth in the overall World Cup standings this season, he isn’t giving up on his biathlon career and wants to take advantage of this post-Olympic year to try something new “before starting a new cycle . ” “For Émilien, it’s a bit like the stars aligning this year to live out a childhood dream ,” confirmed Sébastien Joly, competition director at Decathlon-CMA CGM.

Fan of pantani is peculiar

Bertman sighs with relief after Deus ex gave me a triple chute and gave him a healthy lead again.
I smell blood though, this is no longer "teehee, this is kinda fun!" this is "I am not worse than the ciclismo first worlders" now.
Of course I will suck a bit in the northern classics where first worlders thrive but me instincts are already at least ok.
