> Evenepoel didn't have to think long for an explanation for his off day. "It’s been quite a long season. Since June, things have been a bit up and down for me, both in training and in races. I’ve had some really good days, but also some not-so-good ones. And that shows today. You need to be at 100% here, but I wasn't. I haven't really found top form since the Tour, and in races like today, the results don't lie," he concluded.

he should really consider staying at the same weight all year

November depends, Inntal is usually fine as long there is no snow. December is fine most of the time. Jan-March not really ridable. But can always swap to the mtb for some funz but most of the time to busy skitouring anyways

Okay, time for me BIG ride, I have no idea what to wear, so I am settling for winter gear. My bike gonna be dirty as fuck when I get back, I am not looking forward to it, but it might be the last BIG ride of the year too, you never know.

My pet peeve in cycling is when people say top X instead of just saying Xth place.
Top 10 and top 3 are well-established thresholds for results but when people say shit like top 7 because a guy finished 7th it annoys me. It's like they think top 10 means getting 10th place so they don't want to "downgrade" a 7th place to a top 10. But if you want to say the exact result just do that instead of making a new arbitrary "top".

Not even sure what reminded me of this. Maybe because Renard is a top 10 merchant
Maybe other Berts also have things like that they can't stand when cycling commentators (including /cyc/ posters) say.

We have the same team, it is fine. TRENTIN is just there behind, only ISIDORE is missing in action.
Nothing to write home about but also no drama comparing to others.
Unless you're interested in overall, than it is a shit result kek.

I'm back, again, a BIG rain 5 km away from home
Cleaning the bike at home is such a pain in the ass. Most is okay, but the "sand" that gets between front ring and bb/frame is so hard to get rid off. I don't really want to shower the bike too.
I wonder if it's better to let it dry and then clean or to clean now when it is fresh.

Anyway, nice ride, 1500m elevation, wet and dry, zonder rain until the grand finale. Barely any runners, barely any cagies.
10-12 degrees, the wind was not THAT bad.
Rode in ketosis since still some running nose (which I thought is the same thing as sniffles, apparently NOT)

Exactly

There's no way an assistant executive vice president of human resources at a regional office for a splinter terrorist offshoot of a cycling discussion on a Mongolian underwater basket weaving forum will be replaced by AI

AI is now replicating Adobe products.
Very soon AI will be able to replicate endchan too.
I will run my own instance populated with Berts who are always helpful, tell me their secret picks, listen patiently to my bicycle woes and give many a (you)s to my schnitzels.

fizik terras, and I have an offroad version of the faveros which I quite like (also own a road edition)
most of them don't ride w/ computers cos they have a 2nd bike to switch to as that's a hassle to switch units every time

 >>/127269/
His problem is lack of peak power, he either needs to go 70km from the line and hope they underestimate him or really close to the line and hope for G2 syndrome.
But please stop attacking when there are guys still full pulling

 >>/127277/
I usually like to pedal pretty fast, in the 90-95 range and then for higher power outputs even higher, around 100-105 for maximal 5-10min efforts for example. I guess it's partly an artifact of using short 165mm cranks.

 >>/127307/
Didn't some Bert start a rumour that EF had money problems? But teams like EF, Jayco and Bahrain should definitely consider Rogla. What else are they going to do in the grand tours? Just get a participation trophy like Picniccers.

> It remains unclear what the future holds for Primoz Roglic . For the time being, the Slovenian is keeping quiet about whether he will still be part of the peloton in 2027, but his wife Lora hopes that he will extend his career.
Kek, dude will ride till 40 because his wife wants to stay in Monaco

 >>/127322/
This is why you're either in the front or off the back in the grupetto in gran fondos. There's so much fucking incompetence. It's way more scary to ride in two abrest paceline on a 30 km/h group ride with huge gaps between everyone than it is in a peloton.

> Top British cyclist Matthew Richardson is not competing in this week's Track Cycling World Championships in Shanghai. British Cycling has given no reason for the absence of Harrie Lavreysen's major
rival. According to *The Times*, the rider was dropped from the squad due to an investigation into "alleged
discriminatory messages and behavior".
