I have seen this coming but I kinda thought my experience and resume has too much juice to just not at least bench me when the customer I was delegated to ended the cooperation and 50 people, me included, will stop providing income very soon.

It is AI related because the customer company "decided to consolidate and streamline their processes via expanding inhouse capabilities, spearheading the AI transformation and loosening offshore dependence and getting buttfucked with a cactus" + whatever other gibberish was in that mail I got like 2 months ago.

I do get two months notice so it is not as I am out immediately and get zero moneys until I get a new job.

And my parent company, that one which formally employed me, is pretty fucked, they are just a pimp house (rent out workers to western companies while taking a cut and handling HR the local legal) with barely anything else going, they are trying to market some data science product on top of LLMs but I see zero situations where it is better than a dedicated machine learning solution when someone needs actual results and interpretability or something that can't be spec-driven vibecoded on an already paid for coding AI loicense when someone only needs to spitball and quick prototype.

Not my problem of coursh, they were professional and in general let them do well but the conditions were subpar and it was just a detour to upskill a few of my weaker areas.

Almost all teams are interested in that type of rider but it's a matter of how much money and team support they can offer. Teams like EF, Jayco and NSN need a guy like that otherwise they will go into grand tours FDJ style with no plans or ambitions. You could make a comfy living being the highest paid rider on a team like that knowing they will be happy as long as you finish in top 10.

Great legs today, managed to get W' to under 6kJ on both of the first sets. If any bert wants to steal this workout it's 3min at roughly 8min max power followed by 10 reps of 30/15s. First you get the HR up from the 3min set without blowing up the legs, and then it's nice to really push the power.

What's a good geometry? I have several bikes now but I couldn't really tell what I prefer/don't. Even if I  compare my grail AL which is my favorite geo to the old defy I couldn't tell what's the thing that makes the difference. I am writing to request federal support for the return of the TOUR DE TRUMP (1989-1990) pro cycling race.

Pro cycling in the United States has fallen off a cliff in the last few years. In 2012, Lance ARMSTRONG was targeted and blacklisted by the Obama-era FBI, being stripped of his record SEVEN (7) Tour de France titles. In 2020, the last two professional-level stage races in the United States were cancelled - the Tour of California and the Tour of Utah. In 2024, the Maryland Cycling Classic (the only professional-level single day race in the United States) was cancelled due to the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse.

America needs to return back to the TOP of bike racing, in the spirit of heroes such as Lance ARMSTRONG, Greg LEMOND, and Major TAYLOR. We need an internationally renowned, World Tour-level (the highest level of pro bike racing) stage race, perhaps in the mold of the Tour de France (21 stages throughout the country). We have the most beautiful cities in the world, the most beautiful coasts, the most beautiful deserts, and the most beautiful mountains for the World Tour peloton to race through. It is PATHETIC that countries such as the UAE, Denmark, Canada, China, and Belgium all have World Tour races, while the GREATEST NATION ON EARTH does not have a single race. We need to have a home race to inspire youngsters and return Americans to the TOP of the pro peloton.

Imagine the eyes of the world turning to America, watching an American cyclist winning a sprint down 6th Avenue in New York City or making a decisive attack on the slopes of Pikes Peak in Colorado or leading a charging peloton across the Sedona desert. Imagine a finale in Washington, DC, with a finish right on Constitution Avenue.

No country in the world is better equipped to have a world-class bike race, and it is a disgrace that America has let the rest of the world pass us by in this most egalitarian of sports.

I still don't see anyone else winning Roubaix besides the 4 or 5 usual suspects (Grug, Wout, Mads, Pogi and Jappe).

I mean, it's Roubaix, obviously a lot can and will go wrong, but it's absurd amount that need to happen for none of those to win. This year was already very eventful and I still didn't feel at any point of the race that anyone else had the smallest of shots.

Also, both Grug and Wout still have a big watts advantage on almost everyone. Like, without Pogi, who'd have ever closed Wout's attack the other day? Also they're both proven non-distancelets.

There is madness in the air or something.  2  tourists got into a fistfight on my street. One was a cyclist the other one a cagie.  The cagie allegedly overtook the cyclist too close for comfort and the cyclist chased him down and broke his rear view mirror. Chaos ensued with a lot of shoving and shouting "Who are you huh !!?.

They aim for more direct matches on television and less invisible preparation for a volcano in Tenerife.

In addition, the sale of broadcasting rights and merchandising must be organized much more professionally. The affiliated teams no longer want to be dependent on external organizers or the coincidental sympathy of a sponsor. They demand a fixed and fair share of the enormous financial pie.
Tension surrounding the union's response

Now that the billionaires' plans are taking more and more concrete forms, the entire cycling world is looking expectantly at the UCI headquarters in Switzerland. The big question is how the international association will respond to this open rebellion from the richest team owners. The association is expected to share its own vision next month, which will undoubtedly cause serious administrative clashes.
