Yeah, that's you, most of the Danes including /pinot/bert and then Bergerburt's Bunch.
Fun fact, one of the Belgians from the other site recruited his wife. Maybe he is here as well, the Gardeners. She "just wants to beat her husband" is worse than him but less then you'd imagine.

> “Yes, suddenly there was the roundabout. What I also heard from the others was that a motorbike was riding at the front. It panicked a bit when braking. The riders at the front of the group then had to brake as well. They looked back immediately, because if you have to brake like that at the front, you know it’s going to get tight at the back. Jonas went down along with some others.”

> “Victor (Campenaerts) said that that motorbike braked very hard at the last moment, causing a chain reaction in the entire group,” he added a little later.

> Del Toro himself complained of discomfort from the crash that also took Jonas Vingegaard out. During the long climb, Pogacar asked via radio: “Can I ride progressively faster now?” To this, Del Toro responded quickly and somewhat anxiously: “Don’t drop me.” Pogacar’s decision not to go all out could stem from that.

> According to the rider from the Kempen region, the victory could significantly change his mindset. “Yesterday we were still wondering: how long will they at Visma-Lease a Bike go along with the narrative that they can still win the Tour? The same applies to Remco. You hear things like: ‘We are adjusting the program, because we still think we can win the Tour.’ But it has now become clear that that hope should not be scrapped beforehand. It is difficult to make all those sacrifices if you never hit the jackpot.”
> “The risk of euphoria and overconfidence does not seem immediately present to me. I have rarely seen Remco so genuinely happy; this victory visibly did him a lot of good. It could possibly be a defining cornerstone for the rest of his career, making him realize that he is indeed growing closer to Pogacar. In this regard, I spontaneously think back to Wout van Aert ’s success in the final stage over Butte Montmartre last year. That came after a difficult Tour, but it did provide a new impetus,” he adds in his analysis for HLN.

Lmao

Also some feedback on gravel 1X for roads: it's fine if you're just riding around, but the gaps are too big if you're racing/training at power. Also 50km/h is basically your max speed.

Indeed. That accounts for everything from your own garden. Try growing green peas, it's like a complete different veggie compares so bought ones. So good, I'd eat them every day.

Downside of zuchini's, they're going so fast I'm basically eating zuchini daily atm. running out of recipes

yea shimano mtb cassettes are just for gravel and mtb and those problems only get worse if you put road size chainrings on there
ironically shimanos mtb cassettes are spaced exactly like a certain someone ITT would like them, tight and even from in the bigger 2/3s and rather gappy in the smallest third
sram and campy do it the other way around they are much tighter in the smaller half and then go gappy in the biggest 3-4 cogs

After riding in a BIG rain like did on the weekend, what is the best way to clean between crank and BB. That little thigh gap that all those little sandy shit gets into.
Garden hose is not an option.
I'm thinking of just pouring some water.

I think the theory is that they microdose with something that has a short half life right before bed to be clean in the morning but I doubt there is active doping during the competition. I'm pretty sure they dope in the training camps before. The police raided UAE and Visma during the tour in previous years and nothing came of it.

They're not microdosing, they're full blown doped like they always have been. They just take different shit.
They're taking SARMs and other experimental shit. Probably gendoping too.
And apparently WADA only marks EPO tests positive if it's extremely obvious because else it's too expensive to fight it in court and Riccò claimed he got tested 10 times while doped on CERA and only got caught twice. This is a guy that didnt give a fuck, let alone someone who actually pays attention.

"Over 30% of athletes participating in 2011 World Championships in Athletics admitted having used banned substances during their careers. According to a study commissioned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), actually 44% of them had used them. Nevertheless, only 0.5% of those tested were caught."

Whenever I replace battery in my HR Strap-on, it never works correctly on first attempt, I always have to meddle with it once or twice before it sticks.

Anyway, would have been almost a PR at the Balkon but I was held up by careless cyclists taking up the road.

GET OUT OF MY FUCKING ROAD

Lovely weather, it's amazing what a few degrees less does to one's watts

 >>/106783/
I have a cheap accumulating instead of unlimited data contract. I pay 5 Swiss Francs extra per month and can use the data that I accumulated in the EU and free calls and SMS are included as well. as I rarely watch videos on my phone, I simply keep accumulating data and it doesn't expire, which is pretty nice.
so I had no trouble posting pics from France last Saturday, besides the cellular antennas not being able to cope with the amount of people in the Vogesen because of the tour.
people visiting Switzerland are getting fucked by roaming costs though.

 >>/106784/
That is a bretty cool concept, I think I can pre-pay some for "zone 1" which is the european non-eu countries but still calls are not free, only "cheaper"
 >>/106785/
That was precisely why I was asking, there are articles every year "stupid czechs surprised with $10000 bill after acciidentally watching a meme gif on svitzera roaming".

on sprint stages they would have the peloton do ad stunts like hold up random products or something
 >>/106795/
probably would be something like ironman where they have ad breaks every 10 minutes and ad banners run on the bottom of the screen
or how about that
> and now we enter the coca cola mile for the flavor sprint presented by skittles, taste the rainbow

 >>/106802/
I don't believe they are but you have to remind them every now and then.
If you just never test at uncomfortable hours they'll start getting ideas.
Same with those teams hiding out in south america training camps these days, they should raid those too

> “There are doping products that remain in the blood for only about three hours,” says Oliver Naesen. “I hear they are looking for growth hormone. It is the first time I have heard anything about that: the hunt for growth hormone.”
> “To what extent should you test riders at every moment of the day? If there effectively are doping products that only stay in your blood for three hours, then that might well be tempting,” Naesen continues. “Doping agencies also have to test at a time when it matters. And yet, I have absolutely no knowledge that there is doping in the peloton.”

 >>/106826/
It's anything that helps. If they're 90s tier doping, they'll still add microdosing whatever if it gives them an extra edge.

Did you see the interview with Wellens where they asked him about the new lactate gels? It was like a kid that gets caught smoking by their parents.
Same dodgy shit with quickstep, saying shit like, uhh we know it exists but we dont try. I mean we tried it in training but it doesnt do much. Ughh we might have used it on difficult days but not in the TDF!

It's not even illegal at this point, grey zone at most. They're just so used to doing sketchy shit that they're paranoid af.
There's still an omerta in the peleton (obviously, half the team leaders and coaches are former dopers)

 >>/106828/
Ye exactly. You have to realize that the team crews are way bigger than in the past and yet they manage to keep things hidden for years. And you don't solo huff CO in the bathroom of your hotel, it's all organized doping just like in the 90s or any other modern era.

 >>/106831/
Yep, 16C in the morning and people are going around all long sleeves, for me it is also a żilé especially when windy but it is more than fine in the sun.
16C in April would make people walk around dressed like they're going to the beach.

For me it was a rapid ride this morning, nice light side-tailwind on the TT bike makes for good speed. Until the toddler goes back to kindergarten I will probably just do these kind of light SST/LT1 workouts, way too stressed to do harder/longer efforts

update on the guy who chuted

he has had massive pressure building up on his brain due to fluids and blood, the part that got the impact is the prefrontal cortex - he 100% has brain damage, question is how much

surgery took place last night to put in drainage to hopefully lessen the pressure, will be kept in coma for minimum of 2 weeks if not longer

we're all riding (25 of us) to the hospital in team gear tomorrow to honor him

sorry for doomposting just need an outlet that isnt destructive

Great commentary on Danish tv right now, with Lars Bak saying Jurgen Van den Broeck was a huge autist who needed to have every day of the season planned out in detail from december and comparing how Castrillo rides to a thirsty dog looking for water.

Don't think so. Blythe asked him if he'd chatted to Alpecin, and he just said "Chat with Roodhooft? No I don't chat with Roodhooft". Seems to just be general hostility. Commentators here were saying Roodhooft is known as being unwilling to work with other teams.

I think he's a bit stupid and reactive. This is why we like him - he rides like a madman and has pulled some incredible shit out of his ass.

However, he should've rode the wheels today and he wouldn't have been out sprinted by Mauro fucking Schmidt
