if it was that easy i would just take some old thinkpad i have around, take out the screen, add my screen in a frankenstein way but the problem is that this is using too much power. 

when the monitor literally draws 0,5 watt while other monitors draw 5-10 watt, i am not gonna just use some old thinkpad that runs at ~25watt and then have the total poweroutputbe 25,5watt. that's silly.

i want to pair it with something that is as ridiculously power-efficient so i can power the whole thing of any powerbank regardless how weak. a computer so low in energy consumption i never feel like wasting electricity when just leaving it on all day. that way i could stop using smartphone alltogether most days and i believe smartphone to be shit.

Your malfunction is that because you're content with shitty things, you think others who have to use better gear because of work or hobbies don't really need them. That's nonsensical and means you're a boomer on pension jealous of others. Secondly, notice you said "tailor made" to your desire. That means that a particular configuration, not worse, fulfills some desire. You edit 360p kiddy porn videos and read e-books and for that your configuration is enough. 25 watts is not that much power. Hear me out. With a 2TB magnetic laptop drive costing around $120 today you could load that laptop full of e-books and compatibility software to use them even when completely offline. You could run that kind of cheap refurbished laptop off any 12V battery and cheap 250W inverter for 24 hours before having to recharge the 12V battery. The 12V battery will cost you more than a power inverter, get a solar trickle charger for it and you can charge the 12V battery with sunlight. If you have 2x 12 batteries you can rotate them, charging one and using the other in the meantime. That's what I'd consider doing if I were you.

while i don't have a self-built solar system yet even though i have most of the hardware, i have something similar that i can use to solarcharge directly into tool-batteries specifically and these tool batteries i have adapters for that can draw 12v, 5v usb, modern higher-voltage usb and also my specific kind of old laptop.

the next laptop i am building will only use the same tool batteries that i use to power my drill and my angle-grinder.

Cool, but you better stock up on spare backup batteries then. I've gone through tons of those kinds of power tool batteries over the years, even De-Walt which is higher end product. Many companies obsolete battery tech and you have to buy new ones with adapters for older tools and the voltages can vary between new and old. Basically the market is designed for planned obsolescence today. That is why I would recommend 12V batteries and an inverter because those always stay the same and as long as there are cars and trucks there will be 12V batteries.
