My strong support of prosecutors has allowed them to better reach their full potential, as reflected by the Office’s impressive results.
My work is far from over and no matter what anyone says, today’s U.S. Attorney’s Office is a strong beacon of light and hope for this city. Our best days are ahead of us. I’m going to keep fighting for the Northern District of Illinois for years to come.

U.S. Central Command @CENTCOM - Article: CENTCOM to Conclude 30th Regional Cooperation Exercise
TAMPA, Fla. — U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) will conclude Exercise Regional Cooperation 2026 on June 12 at Fort Harrison, Montana.
More than 350 military personnel from 10 countries and 10 U.S. National Guard units have participated during the past two weeks. Training scenarios involved command post coordination, field tactics, and cyber security.
"Building relationships and trust with our partner forces is critical during real world operations and cooperation," said Command Sgt. Maj. Battulga Baatar from the Mongolian Armed Forces.
The 11-day event provided participating forces opportunities to collaborate, train, and enhance military readiness. Personnel completed scenario-driven training in hand-to-hand combat, drone operations, land navigation, and combat medical support.
"Trust isn't developed during a crisis, it is developed before the crisis," said Lt. Col. Randall Phillips, CENTCOM's lead planner for the exercise. "We're building partnership, interoperability, trust, and understanding between everybody."
Regional Cooperation is the largest CENTCOM training event with central and south Asian nations. This year's exercise is the 30th iteration.

U.S. Central Command @CENTCOM - Article: U.S. Forces Disable 3rd Oil Tanker Violating Blockade in Gulf of Oman
TAMPA, Fla. — U.S. forces disabled an oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman at 11:20 p.m. ET on June 10 after the vessel violated the blockade against Iran by attempting to transport Iranian oil, marking the third commercial ship disabled by American forces this week.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) acted against Guinea-Bissau flagged M/T Jalveer as it attempted to transport oil from Iran through the Gulf of Oman. A U.S. aircraft fired two Hellfire missiles into the ship’s engine room after the crew repeatedly failed to comply with directions from U.S. forces.
Earlier this week, U.S. aircraft disabled Palau-flagged vessels M/T Marivex and M/T Settebello on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. Marivex violated the blockade by attempting to sail to an Iranian port and Settebello attempted to transport Iranian oil.
CENTCOM forces have disabled nine non-compliant vessels, redirected 135 ships that complied, and allowed 42 vessels supporting humanitarian aid to pass since initiating the blockade on April 13.
The blockade is being enforced impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman.
