Shipwreckedcrew @shipwreckedcrew - I want to call attention to the duplicitous two-step the Platner is trying to pull off regarding the disclosures about his abusive history with personal relationships.
I invite others to check the files, but my recollection is as follows:
Last week when the rumors began to be floated about an upcoming story, Platner was called to meetings with Senate Democrats and confronted about the rumors.
Coming out of those meetings Platner's public statement was that while there were stories about behaviors linked to his PTSD, there would be no "credible" allegations of physical abuse.
The Lyndsey Fifield story then emerges in the NYT, and the response by the friendly press in support of Platner's campaign was "She's a GOP operative, she helped Collins explain her support for Kavanaugh, etc." In other words, he admitted the fact that their relationship was turbulent at times but her allegations of physical or mental abuse were "not credible" because of her politics.
Now we know that the NYT executed a soft "catch and kill" re similar stories from at least two other women who had past personal relationships with Platner that are problematic. The NYT -- contrary to what it told Fifield -- didn't include them in its story, which helped Platner's narrative that she wasn't credible.
Now we have this one from the FP coming out about Jenny Racicot, a lifelong Democrat who supports the policy positions of Platner, and her story is similar to Fifield.
What did we hear on Tuesday night from Platner?
He knocked down Fifield with "She's not credible."
He can't use the same TACTIC to respond to Racicot.
Now the narrative is "Since I met my wife, I'm a changed man. I've grown and recognize my mistakes from my earlier years. I approach every day trying to kinder than I was the day before."
Talk about an AI generated script.
BUT it is all being executed with the support of the media.
He's a POS dirtbag whose entire adult history is a construct. Little slivers of factual information that have been wildly exaggerated and added onto with outright falsehoods to make him into something he is not.
THIS is the best the Democrat party has to offer -- DSA infiltrators who LIE and LIE about themselves to appear respectable.

Everybody's focused on Lyndsey Fifield's experiences with Platner because she's a Republican. But here's what Jenny Racicot, a lifelong Democrat who dated Platner and spoke to the NYT about an "unsettling" experience she had with him years ago, has to say about him.
Speaking with @TheFP, Racicot explained that she is a supporter of Platner’s policies—but not who he is as a person.
“I had good memories with him, but also, there’s a side of him that I had an experience with that caused me to cut off all contact and to not support him as a person,” she said. “It was eating me alive to see somebody that I know to be one way publicly portray themselves a different way.” W/@FrannieBlock:
