Elon Musk @elonmusk - Grok foundation model V9-Medium (1.5T) has finished training. Evals look good. A lot of Cursor data was added in supplementary training and there is more to come.
Fine-tuning is underway and reinforcement learning begins in a few days. 2 to 3 weeks to public release.
This will be a major improvement over the 0.5T v8-small that currently serves all Grok production traffic, especially for difficult coding tasks.

El Viejo Libertario. @ViejoLibertario - Translated from Spanish
THE MORAL CRACK
The cultural battle led by @JMilei is nothing more and nothing less than the definition of what we consider “good” and what we consider “bad.”
The feelings associated with good usually revolve around responsibility, effort, honesty, empathy, gratitude, merit, and the ability to build.
Those associated with evil, on the other hand, appear tied to resentment, envy, greed, manipulation, hatred, destruction, and the denial of others’ merit.
Up to here, are we in agreement? It all sounds obvious, doesn’t it?
Religions, even the most antagonistic ones, except for the fanatical ones, share in rewarding virtues like work, humility, truth, or solidarity, and condemning excesses like pride, avarice, unjust violence, or deceit.
As for ideologies, there is a moral conception of man.
Some focus on the individual, merit, personal responsibility, and the freedom to create, produce, and progress. They understand that a society improves when people have incentives to strive and take responsibility for their decisions.
Others, however, prioritize permanent redistribution, equality of outcomes, and suspicion toward those who prosper. And there emerges the resentment that replaces merit as a moral driver; success stops being admired and starts being punished.
That’s where the cultural battle stops being economic and becomes ethical, moral.
Because a society degrades when it stops valuing virtues like work, truth, merit, responsibility, or excellence.
Every civilization, sooner or later, ends up being the moral reflection of the values it decides to reward.

Emma Nicholson @emmacnicholson - We are in lockdown at the White House after at least 20 continuous shots were fired in the area.
We were just preparing to record the @CBSEveningNews when shots rang out and we ducked to the ground. Secret Service directed us to move into the White House shortly after.
