U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement @ICEgov - Irving, Texas, police charged Magdaleno Roman-Rosales, of Mexico, with kidnapping many years ago and he ultimately received a 120-day sentence for unlawful restraint. He was subsequently removed to his home country. At some point, he returned to the United States illegally.
ICE @ERODallas Fugitive Operations arrested him during a targeted immigration enforcement operation near his residence May 8. During the arrest, he put our officers, the public and himself in danger by attempting to flee.
He backed his truck into an ICE vehicle. Before he was able to drive away, skilled ICE officers were able to gain entry into the vehicle. Then, Roman-Rosales refused to exit his truck and had to be physically removed from the cab. He continued to resist his arrest at every step. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured during the operation.
He will stay in ICE custody pending prosecution.
