Craig Caplan @CraigCaplan - Senate unanimously passed a resolution late yesterday honoring the life and legacy of the late former California Republican Senator John Seymour, who died April 18 at age 88, and then adjourned as a further mark of respect to him. Seymour is the last Republican to represent California in the U.S. Senate. He was appointed by Gov. Pete Wilson to finish his Senate term in January 1991 & served until November 1992, when he lost to Democrat Dianne Feinstein in a special election. RIP
