The Vice President wrapped his speech around 1:23p. The speech was broadcasted live.
Vance criticized Democrats for not supporting the Trump administration's Big Beautiful Bill and he received some of his loudest applause lines from the audience when talking about his new role anti-fraud task force.
"Fighting fraud in Washington, D.C. is a little bit like fishing in a barrel with nuclear weapons," Vance said.
The vice president mentioned the 5th congressional seat and asked the crowd who the Democrat incumbent was. When they responded Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) he said he didn’t know who that is but is rooting for “any good” Republican running for the seat.
Vance talked about the Trump administration's efforts to bring manufacturing jobs back.
“If you want to rebuild the American dream for the next generation, vote against the crazy leadership in Washington DC,” Vance said.
He received big cheers from the crowd here when he polled the audience about Kansas City barbecue and called on Congress to pass the SAVE Act.
Also some color - at the beginning of the speech Vance mentioned how President Trump always prefers conservative dress and he learned that the hard way when Trump criticized his shamrock socks on St Patrick’s Day.
