The program pushes Social Justice Standards focused on identity, diversity, justice, and action — frequently embedding queer theory, anti-racism ideology, white privilege narratives, and related concepts into classroom lessons, teacher training, SEL programs, and school policies. Major unions (NEA, AFT) and the American School Counselor Association have helped mainstream these materials.  
O’Neil notes this happened largely “unbeknownst to parents,” even as the SPLC faces serious federal fraud indictments. He’s calling on parents and groups like Moms for Liberty to demand schools completely cut ties with SPLC resources.  
Despite Texas’s strong laws protecting against divisive concepts and DEI initiatives, this heat map proves the battle is far from over in our major metro districts. Parents must stay vigilant.
