The vice president arrived at his polling place at St. Anthony of Padua, Maronite Catholic Church at 10:17 a.m.
The vice president came in with his son, telling him it would be a quick stop. The vice president checked in, provided his name and address and showed his I.D. He also thanked the poll workers.
A handful of other people were casting ballots but the polling place was mostly empty.
The VP was asked by pool if he was going to vote for Vivek Ramaswamy in the governor’s race and he said he was.
His son got a paper ballot for children to fill out. They went to a booth in the back, where the VP filled out his ballot and his son filled out his kids’ ballot. Vivek (the son not the candidate) showed his dad his kids’ ballot and the VP made a comment about him voting “straight ticket,” and also referenced Ohio’s King’s Island amusement park and deep-fried Oreos. Vivek interrupted his father again to show him something, making him laugh. They then had a discussion about hamsters while the VP finished filing out his ballot.
The VP then went to cast his ballot and showed Vivek’s kids’ ballot to the poll workers.
“He voted for the Easter bunny over the tooth fairy,” he said of his son.
Press asked Vance about Sen. Jon Husted, who is running in the special election to fill the remainder of Vance's senate term.
“Well, I think John's going to do a great job. He's a good guy, and he's been good for Ohio,” Vance said.
The VP left at 10:23 and the motorcade started rolling for the airport at 10:28 a.m.

AF2 was wheels up at 7:40 a.m. and wheels down at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport at 8:52 a.m. Note that this airport is in Hebron, Kentucky. It is chilly and overcast.
There were no visitors to the press cabin during the flight.
The VP deplaned at 9:06 a.m. with Vivek. He did not speak to press but in response to a shouted question, indicated he would speak later. He and Vivek got in the car at 9:07 a.m. and motorcade began rolling at 9:09 a.m.
The VP’s motorcade is heading to an off the record stop. The pool does not have details.
Pool is breaking off to hold separately to another location to wait.

Marine 2 touched down at JBA at 7:24 a.m.
The VP climbed out of the helicopter at 7:28 and was accompanied by his middle child, Vivek, who held his hand. The VP waved at the press and boarded the plane without speaking. He was inside by 7:29 a.m.
Air Force Two is rolling and will be wheels up for Cincinnati shortly.
