DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - It's disagreement on how tyranny is architectured via institutions. I need to write an article on that.
The USSR wasn't feared because of ideology. It was feared because of totalitarianism. Which is why the "democracy" folks didn't lift a finger when Communists started infiltrating them - the infiltration was all through their beloved institutions, so it was A-OK.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - The only times Ryan Holiday shows up in my feed, he’s either mid–profanity-laced political rant or flaunting his wealth as virtue.
Apparently, "Stoicism" means a budget version of Hasan Piker. No thanks.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - People have always been able to "just go to Cuba" via Mexico. It's never been enforced.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - Communists = Strive for a classless society with common ownership of production.
Marxists = Communists who believe in a classless society as the end of history.
Leninists = Those who idolize the man who operationalized Marxism to its logical conclusion.
Socialists = Fake meaning (Berniebros): Kids who like free stuff. Real meaning (PSL, DSA): Communists who pretend to tolerate dissent.
I am not interested in the difference between PSL and WWP. They're all the same to me, because their common goal is revolution and they end up collaborating with hostile states over America.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - Institutional left-wing populism IS Communism. I'm not using it as a slur as in everyone to the left is a Communist. I mean it literally.
I'm talking about PSL, CODEPINK, Singham groups. The movements on the left that are anti-globalist are overwhelmingly Marxist.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - Then we agree.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - If you’re right and this never goes past Bernie style fuzzy unity, then we have no quarrel.
But if this turns into further collaborations with CODEPINK and other aligned groups, then I am going to call it out loudly.
Hope that distinction is clear enough for you.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - I have not spoken much at all on Candace or Tucker, precisely because I believe it is valid to feel betrayed on Iran.
The reason I am reacting, is precisely because they are proposing alliance with left-wing populist movements, and I know exactly how big a red flag that is. That is alliance with Communists.
Maybe instead of putting words in my mouth, you should consider why I haven't been the ones declaring Candace a devil and so on until those specific phrases were said.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - OSINT can only go so far into someone's head. The only way I can get into others' heads is to triangulate enough contradictions until a cohesive philosophy emerges. It took studying 60+ years of post-Cold War history and quotes for me to understand where the "our democracy" people are coming from. I can't pretend to know Candace's motives.
