100 days ago, on 18 and 19 Dey, millions of Iranians took to the streets with full awareness of the price they might pay. More than 40,000 heroes paid that price for the pride, freedom, and liberation of Iran by sacrificing their lives.
Young women removed their headscarves in the face of armed oppressors. Students, by organizing protests, stood firm against plainclothes forces on university campuses. Teachers, lawyers, and workers abandoned their workplaces. Shopkeepers closed their stores in a show of solidarity. Millions of Iranians, city by city, staged an epic display of national solidarity that left the world in awe.
The regime responded with gunfire, mass arrests, sham trials, and executions. In confronting an inhuman evil, Iranians displayed superhuman courage. More than 40,000 gave their lives.
My compatriots continued on their path, and their bravery will endure in history. This is the final battle, and the great nation of Iran is preparing to overcome the Islamic Republic. In this battle to reclaim our country and liberate our nation, I will not cease the fight.
I hope the world stands with us; but whether it does or not, our struggle will continue, and we will free Iran.
