Washington Free Beacon @FreeBeacon - Ilhan Omar’s latest financial disclosures paint an astonishingly different picture than did her 2025 filing—that showed her net worth skyrocketing to as much as $30 million. The new, amended filing shows Omar’s assets to be worth as much as $95,000.
Aides to Omar, whose finances and immigration status are now under a harsh spotlight, told the Wall Street Journal that the original filing contained an accounting error—oops!—and it “didn’t jump off the page for her because she isn’t involved with her husband’s businesses,” the source of her wealth or lack thereof.
That’s a far cry from her response when the Free Beacon first reported on the disclosure. Then, she made a confusing argument that she wasn’t worth millions because the businesses didn’t generate millions in income, which isn’t exactly how calculating net worth works.
