AmericanAir @AmericanAir - We’ve been waiting for a moment like this.
To celebrate our 100th anniversary, American trading cards are taking flight.
Starting soon, pilots will be sharing collectible cards featuring some of the aircraft from our current fleet, plus special centennial editions honoring iconic planes like the DC‑3, 707 and MD‑80. Each card includes aircraft specs, diagrams and fascinating facts that make every flight a little more memorable.
Flying with us this summer? Ask your pilot and start collecting. ✈️

Antarctic Heritage @InspireExplore - #OnThisDay in 1922, following the death of Sir Ernest Shackleton, the expedition ship 'Quest' reached Leith Harbour Whaling Station, South Georgia, after attempting to continue the expedition under the command of Frank Wild.
‘The leadership fell on my shoulders…I knew that Sir Ernest Shackleton would have found some way to carry on, and I decided that by hook or by crook I would carry on also.’ - Frank Wild
Before 'Quest' headed south, Wild made arrangements to send Shackleton's body home to Lady Shackleton, accompanied by Leonard Hussey. The body was transported as far as Montevideo aboard the steamer 'Professor Gruvel'. There, Hussey received a telegram informing him that Lady Shackleton wished her husband to be buried on South Georgia. When 'Quest' reached Leith Harbour on April 16, they were surprised to see Hussey and learned that he had instead returned to South Georgia with Shackleton’s body. In memory of 'The Boss', his crew erected a stone cairn with a wooden cross on Hope Point, overlooking the entrance to the King Edward Cove.

AwakenedOutlaw @AwakenedOutlaw - DC is going wild. Doesn't matter what party, all the creeps and criminals need to be ejected.
Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) is facing serious allegations, including assault, threatening to leak nudes/blackmail an ex, and profiting from federal contracts. Oh, and did I mention that his chief of staff just quit?
