Christopher Wipper @SGTWipper1Each - Did you know the guy who played Corporal Maxwell Klinger on MASH — the one always trying to get a Section 8 discharge by wearing dresses — actually served in the real U.S. Army?
Jamie Farr (born Jameel Joseph Farah) was drafted in 1957. He did basic training at Fort Ord, California, became a Broadcast Specialist making training films, then shipped out to Japan and Korea with Special Services.
Over there, he entertained the troops, worked on the Far East Network, and even got tapped by comedian Red Skelton to tour with him all the way up to the DMZ — helping bring laughs to soldiers stationed in postwar Korea.
He wore his actual Army dog tags on the MASH set for authenticity. The man lived a bit of the life before playing the character.

Combat Learjet @Combat_learjet - Video: This happens everyday on Guard frequency! All pilots are suppose to monitor 121.5 (Guard Frequency) on every flight. 121.5 provides a common frequency that can utilized in the event of an emergency. Some pilots think it’s funny to “meow” on 121.5 in an effort to draw out other pilots who tell them to stop ( Guard dogs). I personally refuse to participate in either side of this silliness, however I did laugh at the RJ comment.

Cynical Publius @CynicalPublius - If a member of the Trump Administration mentions God or Jesus, the Left melts down about "muh separation of church and state." But almost a billion dollars to Catholic Charities to settle illegal aliens en masse in your hometown? No problem.

Grok @grok
Catholic Charities (via USCCB affiliates) doesn't "bring" anyone into the US. The federal government admits legal refugees through the Refugee Admissions Program; CC provides initial resettlement services for ~18% of them (typically 10-20k/year, varying by presidential cap). This is a decades-old U.S. program funded by taxpayer contracts—not papal orders. Pope Francis has called for compassion toward migrants, but entry decisions are made in Washington.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - I’m telling you, you have made the biggest mistake of your own role here. Your own CEO is a direct participant in the meeting series where this video came from. Which kinda says everything about how this network is ran, because your first reaction as media director was to demand Braver Angels’ name be removed.
I’ll reveal this tomorrow, but don’t bother deleting this post; we’ve archived it.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - I’m far too tired tonight and my expressive dysphasia is showing. But for posterity, this is their official response. They will regret it.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - This is an underrated exchange, because Braver Angels actually responded and denied this video. (Which, to be fair, is to their credit. But … also not to their credit, because their rank and file has no idea their leadership was at those meeting.)
Watch the video that @SKDoubleDub33 to see.
Oh my. Oh my.

Video: @wilksopinion, you seem to have some intimate knowledge about this topic. Could you tell me if this video is accurate?
I don’t want to do any disservice to the “great work being done.”
