Alex B @bprintco - When I was 19 I had to have an appendectomy and the hospital sent me a bill for $17k. I called the hospital billing and it was a sweet old lady that answered. I told her I didn’t understand why it was so much because I have health insurance. Turns out my insurance already covered $32k of it and I still owed $17k.
I told her “I’m sorry, I’m only 19. I don’t have $17k”
she says “okay don’t worry about it honey, I’ll take care of it”
I never saw another bill and it never showed up on credit. She made it disappear.

Video: Guy I work with told me he just doesn't pay medical bills
Doctors appointments, surgeries, urgent care... none of it. Says he hasn't paid a single medical bill in 8+ years
Says it doesn't count against credit because medical is usually deleted from reports when applying for loans
Drives 2 brand new vehicles, has a big house, lives in good area... just doesn't pay any medical bills

Amazing Maps @amazingmap - This is Baarle, a town on the Belgium–Netherlands border, where territory from both countries is broken into dozens of separate pieces.
The layout comes from medieval land ownership, where different lords controlled scattered parcels of land. When modern borders were later fixed, those fragments were kept instead of being simplified.
Some Belgian enclaves sit inside the Netherlands, with Dutch counter-enclaves inside those, creating multiple layers of borders in one place. In several cases, the border runs directly through buildings, with nationality determined by the location of the front door.
Today the border still has practical effects, with different taxes, laws, and business rules applying on each side, sometimes within the same street.

Why does the UN allow a lunatic like Francesca Albanese to wear their uniform and poison all of the vital & impactful humanitarian work they do? This self-sabotage must end, now.
