1) I'm loyal. Nobody in DC is loyal and if they are it's with conditions.
2) I'm reliable and consistent. I show up on good days and bad days.
3) I deliver quickly. DC is a town of "I'll get to it next week." When you consistently deliver in hours or days, you build a solid reputation.
My phone calls and text messages are returned promptly. I treat the lowest level staffer with the same respect and importance that I do a Cabinet Secretary. I show up smiling every single time I come to town and make it a point to make the employees laugh, and tell them how important they are.
The swamp is a drain on EVERYONE'S Soul... which is why it's so important to pour into others while in town. They desperately need it. Most of them look like plants who haven't been watered in days, because they deal with nothing but negative, backstabbing idiots.
The swamp doesn't need to be drained. It needs to be filtered and revitalized. We can't replace every single person in our nations capitol. But, if the people in that city started following these basic principles, I'm confident we could turn the entire country around very quickly.
