Israeli Channel 24 reported that Lebanon was on the verge of a military coup, similar to the events of May 7, allegedly prepared by Hezbollah just hours before recent Israeli strikes.
According to the report, the plan aimed to overthrow the government, though no independent confirmation has been provided.
Separate indications cited include threatening statements from Hezbollah figures, including Mahmoud Qmati, who reportedly said the group is capable of “overthrowing the country and the government.”
Additionally, Lebanese military sources are said to have thwarted attempted attacks and bombings in residential areas of Beirut in recent days.
