Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland @SheriffThad - My deputy questioned a man wandering around the back of a bank in Sanderson. He was a Venezuelan citizen, who had crossed illegally into the United States in 2023 during Biden’s catch and release days. He had an ID card from the city of Chicago, and said he didn’t know where he was. He was waiting to be picked up by his son in law but didn’t provide any more info. Sanderson Border Patrol Agents picked him up to help expedite his immigration processing. He was subsequently turned over to ICE where he will remain in custody until his immigration hearing.
