Significant Narcotics Seizure on Interstate 30
Saline County, Arkansas — On Sunday, February 22, deputies with the Saline County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on Interstate 30 near the 106-mile marker that resulted in a significant narcotics seizure.
During the traffic stop, deputies discovered a large quantity of illegal narcotics inside the vehicle. As a result of the investigation, deputies seized over 2,800 pounds of narcotics with an EDTimated street value of $4.5 million.
The driver of the vehicle, Firdavs Nazarov, 38, of the Republic of Tajikistan, was taken into custody without incident. Nazarov was found to be in the United States on an expired tourist visa. He was in possession of a New York driver’s license, and the commercial vehicle he was operating displayed Alaska license plates.
During the investigation, the owner of the company, Aleksey Shcherbina, stated that Nazarov was transporting the contents of the truck from Oregon to North Carolina.
This investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
This seizure represents a substantial disruption to the distribution of illegal narcotics and highlights the Saline County Sheriff’s Office’s continued commitment to public safety and proactive law enforcement efforts.

Amy Reichert @amyforsandiego - BREAKING UPDATE: Not only did the principal at Torrey Pines High resign just 8 days after my viral post, but attorneys from @TheFIREorg stepped in after seeing it to represent the student who posted “We ❤️ ICE ~ Real Americans,” who was suspended for “harassment, threats, and intimidation.” The school even claimed “We ❤️ ICE” created a clear and present danger.
Meanwhile, students who displayed posters on campus reading “If You’re an I.C.E. Agent Ya Mom’s a Hoe!!,” “F*CK ICE,” and “ICE is KKK spelled differently” were not suspended.
That's viewpoint discrimination and a violation of free speech.
Attorneys representing the student have now forced the school and district to reverse the suspension.

Amy Swearer @AmySwearer - Chief Justice Roberts is getting a lot of praise for his "it's the same Constitution" quip, but it's thoroughly undeserved and the hits against Sauer's comments are nothing but cheap shots.
It's obvious to anyone listening in good faith that Sauer wasn't making some living constitution argument or implying judges/the executive can unilaterally update its meaning as society changes.
The exchange started with Roberts, unprompted, asking Sauer about specifics on the birth tourism industry. Sauer answered with some data about Chinese companies. 
Roberts then asked whether Sauer agreed that the widespread nature of birth tourism he just described "has no impact on the legal analysis." Sauer pointed to Scalia's Hamdan dissent and its line of reasoning about how the messy/absurd nature of ensuing consequences is a powerful indication that the Court has butchered its interpretation. 
Roberts then said "well, [birth tourism] certainly wasn't a problem in the 19th century." THIS is when Sauer makes his "we're in a new world now" comment. And it's perfectly reasonable in the context.
