Freedom.gov new online portal developed by U.S. Department of State designed to bypass internet censorship and content bans worldwide 
The project is a central part of the current administration's foreign policy to promote digital free speech. 

Launch Status
    Operational Status: The site is currently in a "coming soon" phase.
    Launch Date: Initially expected to debut at the Munich Security Conference in mid-February 2026, the official launch was delayed. Official statements indicate it will become operational in the coming weeks.
    Current Site Content: Visitors currently see a holding page with the message "Information is power. Reclaim your human right to free expression. Get ready" along with the phrase "fly eagle fly". 

Key Features
    VPN Functionality: The portal is expected to include built-in VPN-like technology that routes traffic through American infrastructure, making users appear to be located in the U.S..
    Targeted Regions: While intended for global use, it has specifically been framed as a tool for users in Europe, China, Russia, and Iran to access content restricted by local laws, such as the EU's Digital Services Act.
    Privacy: Officials have stated that user activity on the site will not be tracked.
