Carol Rosenberg @carolrosenberg - Latest: The new Southcom commander just punted a question on what the Pentagon is paying for the ICE operation at Guantanamo. Gen. Francis Donovan told a Senate hearing that the services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines) are paying the military's share. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/31/us/politics/migrants-guantanamo-costs.html

Carol Rosenberg @carolrosenberg - General Donovan said his troops are responsible for "providing security for that actual camp itself," suggesting that only one of the two sites is currently in use.
ICE today has 11 detainees designated for deportation there.
It has kept about 800 men there across the operation.

Catherine Herridge @CHerridge - STRATEGIC TIMING: By posting today @joekent16jan19 guaranteed his resignation over the war in Iran will be front and center during the annual worldwide threat hearings on Capitol Hill this week.
These are rare public hearings that bring together the intelligence community leadership including his old boss.

The Honorable John L. Ratcliffe

The Honorable Kash Patel

Joe Kent @joekent16jan19
After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
May God bless America.

Catherine Herridge @CHerridge - BREAKTHROUGH: On Capitol Hill, in response to questions from intel chairman @RepRickCrawford top intelligence officials confirmed that the Biden-era assessments about Havana Syndrome should be recalled.
Those assessments concluded it was very unlikely a novel weapon or foreign adversary was responsible for their debilitating neurological injuries.
This significant development comes one month after I exclusively reported that DNI Gabbard's team concluded the Biden-era assessments were defective and should be recalled, but there was internal resistance within the Intelligence Community to releasing the findings.
Today the CIA Director @CIADirector said he would defer to @DNIGabbard
It is gratifying to see movement on a story where injured US Government personnel have suffered terrible injures as well as the moral wound of a government cover-up of Directed Energy Attacks.
Thank you to the whistleblowers who have trusted our independent team with their stories, and continue to come forward.
Demanding facts, and accountability so that the US government takes steps to protect its spies, diplomats and military operatives from these life altering injuries.
