DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - To add on this, I'm happy to correct any factual stuff I got wrong on that article. I caught an error about masthead biography and corrected that. Happy to include anything else.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - Your article has me doing armchair psychoanalysis lol.
It's obvious the whole thing hit some kind of deep nerve with Ryan's personal story. Perhaps he was telling himself he was a good man and doing the right thing in ousting CP. I don't know.
But here are the facts:
1. He used CP's alleged bullying and harassment behavior as his initial rationalization. In other words, he knew printing CP's full name was a form of "accountability." Using the excuse that CP called into a radio show with barely any online presence came a whole day later.
2. He started his publication as a grassroots publication to challenge consensus thinking and now is swimming in the swampiest of the swamp with neocons and IC officials, becoming their pitbull to fight off anyone who attacks the status quo.
There's a lot of anger surrounding those two facts.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - Karlin literally wrote the book on how to get out of Afghanistan and focus on Russia/China. I'd be surprised if she didn't have a big advisory role in the Afghanistan withdrawal.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - He's very, very angry.
Which leads back to the article you wrote. Anger is all about telling yourself a story.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - "I spent months talking to insurance, the hospital, billing appeals..."
Every person you talked to, every person who was processing paperwork on your behalf, was being paid by the hour. Imagine how many hours that took.
That's the real reason it cost $9,000.
