Vince Waelti @VinceWaelti - So lots of people trying to cancel me over my @LovesTravelStop comment yesterday.? The ending of the story: the district manager or whatever his title is seemed super annoyed this happened and actually found someone’s live stream where it happened.
Keep in mind we are running an atmospheric research mission and frankly have launched more weather balloons and had more staff meetings in Loves parking lots than truckers. I, personally, spent $9350 in fuel at Loves in 2025, so clearly not just free loading for parking lot space. The staff is always welcoming and wants pictures, etc. The guy in Bloomington was just a poor representation of the company, but the district guy made up for it. I really appreciate someone saying “yes, our manager down there needs reigned in.” That’s tough to say. As an employer you want to stand behind your staff 100%, but when they deviate from the culture that much so be it. This guy did a really good job of addressing the issue without coming off as throwing staff under the bus, which I really respect.
Again, I didn’t want anything “addressed,” I just made a funny tweet about a funny experience. It’s what the 71,000 followers here click follow for.
Thanks Loves, I’ll try to not go to Pilot but I’m putting the Bloomington location on a 6 week time out

Replying to @oc_weather and @LovesTravelStop
So here’s the deal- I was reached out to by apparently whoever is in charge of this area of Loves. They said that is NOT their policy and they’ve never had any knowledge of asking storm chasers to leave or pump gas elsewhere. This guy was very professional and seemed annoyed that

Viral News NYC @ViralNewsNYC - I’ve been informed that the NYPD officer who tackled the would-be terrorist was Sergeant Grant Pulgarin of the 33rd Precinct.
This does not take away any credit from Edwards. Chief Edwards is a hero regardless. But it’s also important to recognize all of the officers who acted courageously during this terrorist attack.
Sergeant Pulgarin and the other responding officers deserve acknowledgment for their actions as well.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський @ZelenskyyUa - If the United States and Europe are strong, if they don’t buy Russian oil and gas, if people stand by the principles they declare, and if pressure on Russia is strong and clear – if all these things work properly, the war will end as quickly as possible.
Otherwise, it will last longer than we estimate. Normal people really want it to end tomorrow – or yesterday, as we say. But no matter what, Russia doesn’t have enough power to occupy us. It simply doesn’t.
