Fenix Ammunition @FenixAmmunition - On my previous career, my best aerospace electroplating customer had about 30 Vietnamese workers who all came from nail shops. They do a lot of repair work and the most critical detail is block off the areas you don't want plated using a variety of tapes and liquid applied temporary coatings.
They hired one guy originally and he was the best, most detailed parts masker he'd ever seen and with almost no training. They asked him if he knew anyone else from the nail shop who wanted a job and he showed up the next day with 3 more people.
Worked out pretty well for everyone in the end; the guys were making a lot more money and the shop had much lower expenses from re-work and scrap.
Sometimes talent comes from unexpected beginnings.
