I have one (1) set of great-grandparents from the Caribbean, who gave birth to my granddad, who was born right here in this country. He’s the greatest man I know. The rest are all born here dating back over a century. As stated, I know their names and where my recorded ancestry ends.
More importantly, I’m an American. I don’t need a hyphen, I don’t need an asterisk. My “people” are patriots. They come in all colors.
