Today’s move in Brent crude prices is among the most dramatic in history.
Brent recorded its largest intraday gain ever, jumping $26.81 — even bigger than the surge during the 2022 oil spike when prices briefly hit $139.
If prices close below $99, it would mark the biggest drop from an intraday high to the close on record.
The market is also heading toward the second-largest daily high-low range ever; it would take a drop to $93.46 to set a new record.
