This film originally was shown in 3-D, so several moments are designed to show off that special effect. For example, in this “Too Darn Hot” number, Ann Miller dances with a fan between herself and the camera. This would have appeared to be the fan coming out of the screen. Likewise, when Miller flings her scarf during her audition dance number, it is thrown directly at the camera and would be seen by 3-D audiences as coming directly at them.
