America 250: Reenactment - 1777 Battle of Brandywine. Reenactors marked the anniversary of the 1777 Battle of Brandywine in Pennsylvania, a victory by British troops which led to their capture of the American capital of Philadelphia during the Revolutionary War. The reenactment took place at Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, one of many locations of the fighting at Brandywine.
