White House Press Pool Reports @WHPressPool - in-town pool report #7: POTUS exit
POTUS took no questions from the media at the end of the Inter Miami event and exited the East Room at 5:06 pm, inviting the team to join him in the Oval Office.
A few highlights from the ceremony:
POTUS reflected on his history with soccer. "I shouldn’t say this, because you’ll say I’m old, but I watched Pele play," he said. Then he turned to Messi. "I don’t know, you may be better than Pele," he said, before asking the audience, "Who’s better?"
On the other hand, he said, "Baseball is not as hot. They do things wrong now."
POTUS commented several times about how attractive the team was. "Good-looking people. I don’t like good-looking men. You don’t feel so good about yourself," he said. Later on: "Do you have any bad-looking players? I like the bad-looking guys much better."
Owner Jorge Mas presented POTUS with a custom Trump #47 jersey, a signed ball and a watch.

White House Press Pool Reports @WHPressPool - in-town pool report #6: Iran remarks
In opening remarks at Inter Miami CF event, POTUS said he would imminently take action to reduce oil prices (which have increased sharply since strikes on Iran over the weekend).
He also called on the Iranian people to take up arms and take back their country, promising them total immunity if they overthrow the regime.
”You’ll be perfectly safe with total immunity or you’ll face absolutely certain death, and I don’t want to see that,” he said.
