Qatar’s neutrality died on March 2. And here is the strategic consequence nobody has fully priced. The Su-24 flew at 80 feet because that is below the radar floor. Iran developed that tactic specifically because it knows Gulf air defense systems have a low-altitude blind spot. The planes were not on a reconnaissance mission. You do not arm Su-24s, fly at 80 feet across open water, and aim directly at the world’s most important US air base on a reconnaissance mission two minutes from your target. This was not a probe. This was the attempt. Qatar stopped it. But Iran now knows exactly where the radar gap is, what the intercept time looks like, and how Qatari F-15s respond under pressure. The next attempt will account for all of that.

Shibetoshi Nakamoto @BillyM2k - bluesky is funny because it was made to escape all the horrible people and it turns out they were the horrible people all along

Shipwreckedcrew @shipwreckedcrew - Name him as Special Counsel to the President, name someone eligible as "Acting Secretary", but send Mullin over to DHS to work with Homan on running things.

Kyle Cheney @kyledcheney
AND/BUT it's not clear how Trump can simply announce this is effective on March 31. Mullin is not Senate-confirmed and not eligible to become acting secretary under laws governing cabinet-level vacancies.

Shipwreckedcrew @shipwreckedcrew - After 5 full years in office the only intellectually honest way to evaluate Pres. Trump is on what he has done, factoring in the UNPRECEDENTED level of obstruction - much of it illegal - that he has faced, and setting aside the preconceptions of him derived from his public persona built for entertainment purposes.
He’s the first President in a century with the courage of his convictions. You don’t have to like everything to respect his willingness to act and not simply posture for the benefit of historians.

Trump is a buffoonish carnival barker who has no business being president. And yet, he is somehow a more serious figure than Biden, Harris, or Walz.

Sidney Powell Attorney, Author, Gladiator @SidneyPowell1 - WOW Another “wrap-up smear” as taught by Nancy Pelosi? Cornyn trying to destroy BANNON. Disgusting.
Quote:
Raheem J. Kassam @RaheemKassam
Last week, Cornyn’s campaign chief Chris LaCivita confirmed in texts to Adam Wren at POLITICO that he was behind the social media op against Bannon because Bannon is backing Paxton.
Today, Adam Wren at POLITICO runs an anonymous source claim from a “GOP strategist close to the White House” trying to boost Cornyn.
Gee, I wonder who that could be!? 👀
