The Night Warrior @WarriorNight007 - Fun fact:
Danny DeVito and his partner Rhea Perlman bought the film rights to Matilda in 1994.
They cast themselves as the parents and Mara Wilson as their daughter Matilda.
During the opening week of shooting Maras mother found out she had cancer.
Danny and Rhea stopped up and kept Mara while her mom was in the hospital.
Her mother's cancer was very aggressive and she passed before the film ever came out.
Years later it was learned that Danny spent a small fortune to have a VHS tape made of the not quite finished film for Maras mom to watch in the hospital.
After her mom's passing the coupe helped raise the young actress and shielded her from the fame and pitfalls of Hollywood.

NSF-DOE Rubin Observatory @VRubinObs- Alerts from NSF–DOE Rubin Observatory have been flowing for about a week...how many have there been??
So far, Rubin has generated....drumroll please ~1.7 million world-public alerts! That's ~1.7 MILLION objects that changed in brightness or position in just seven nights
And this is just the start! Once Rubin begins its ten-year survey, it will start to build up coverage of the entire visible sky — because in order to know that something changed, we first need to know what "normal" looks like.
Over the first year of the survey, Rubin will ramp up to a whopping ~7 million alerts every night
The Universe is a hive of activity, and soon we'll get to see it in action like never before

Old Submariner @USN_Submariner - A lot of info is flying around about the US Navy submarine that launched the torpedo. My current take on it could be wrong and it will turn out that it was a Virginia instead of a Los Angeles boat that fired the warshot, but let’s analyze what we know about what is being said (and by who).
