The Boston Massacre – March 5, 1770
On a cold night in Boston, 1770, tensions between American colonists and British soldiers erupted into violence. What started as a heated confrontation escalated when British troops fired into a crowd of unarmed civilians, killing five men, including Crispus Attucks, a man of African and Native American descent, often remembered as the first casualty of the American Revolution.
This tragic event, known as the Boston Massacre, became a powerful symbol of colonial resistance. Propaganda by colonial leaders, including Paul Revere’s famous engraving, helped galvanize public opinion against British rule and fueled the growing desire for independence.
The Boston Massacre reminds us that the path to freedom is often paved with sacrifice, and that standing up against oppression can ignite movements that change the course of history.

Texas DPS @TxDPS - URGENT: Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers and Texas Rangers are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting along I-10 near Kent in West Texas after a suspect vehicle fled from the Sierra Blanca checkpoint and opened fire on responding law enforcement. There is no longer a threat to the public, but drivers are asked to avoid the area as the investigation is ongoing. More information will be released soon.
