Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz holds firm: only 2 tankers passed on March 2 (vs usual ~60), transit volumes down ~95%. Iran claims 16+ vessels hit since war start (including 2 tugboats on March 4); US admits only 5 civilian ships damaged.

Confirmed hits: Skylight (Palau flag, damaged off Oman, 4 wounded); VYOM (Marshall Islands, 1 killed); Ocean Electra (missed); Hercules Star (hit near UAE, continued under escort); Stena Imperative (US flag, fire in Bahrain port extinguished). 

Tankers pile up on both sides—few risk crossing (often with transponders off). Safe passage unlikely soon while Iran has drones left; Houthi involvement would spike costs further.
