Winning designs will be featured during commemorative activities celebrating America’s 250^th anniversary in 2026, such as the Great American State Fair, the Second Lady’s 2026 Summer Reading Challenge, and other Office of the Second Lady and NEA events. Each winning student, accompanied by a parent or guardian, will also be invited to Washington, DC, in summer 2026 to participate in a series of celebratory events.
Applications must be submitted through the NEA’s website https://www.arts.gov/initiatives/celebrating-americas-250th-anniversary/bookmark-design-challenge

Marine One landed on the South Lawn at 8:53pm.
President Trump disembarked two minutes later and walked across the lawn with the First Lady. He waved at the press pool but did not respond to shouted questions.
The Trumps entered the White House at 8:56pm. They were followed in by Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.
A lid was called at 9:03pm. Have a good night!
