3. Someone pursuing a degree in the humanities: English, history, philosophy, journalism, and related degrees.
Important legal disclaimers:
More than 90% of assignments will be practice-based and educational in nature, and most work is intended to serve as practice for careers in the humanities, rather than work that I will publish.
Per U.S. employment law, this is an unpaid internship. I am not currently able to offer compensation under Department of Labor guidelines.
There is no guarantee of employment or future paid work, although I am looking to scale into incorporation by the end of this year and offer paid work in 2027. Holding this position does not guarantee you will be hired, though.
The internship is intended to primarily benefit the intern’s learning and development. Consequently, I will not ask much of you, nor will I expect much. It’s meant for you to practice valuable skills you will use in the real world.
I do not expect to profit from the intern’s work. The intern will help with background research. Any publication of your original work will happen only under a separate agreement with appropriate compensation.
