Rep. Anna Paulina Luna @RepLuna - House GOP leadership is trying to shut down the SAVE ACT / SAVE AMERICA ACT being attached to a rule that would FORCE the Senate to vote to secure our elections.
To be clear, they are trying to change how legislation is passed because they know that this legislation, “as is,” would fail. So they are then going to open it up to all Democrats. They need 2/3 of a supermajority of the House to pass it.
I am a hard no and will never vote for this. I am not voting for any of these appropriations unless the SAVE Act is included. The SAVE Act / SAVE AMERICA ACT will fail in the Senate if it is not attached to an appropriations bill or if THUNE does not remove the filibuster. They know this. Members of Congress know this.
STOP BEING WEAKLINGS! EITHER YOU INCLUDE VOTER ID ON THE RULE GOING TO THE SENATE OR I AM A NO ON RULES.

Richard Grenell @RichardGrenell - I am grateful for President Trumps visionary leadership. I am also grateful to Congress for appropriating an historic  $257M to finally address decades of deferred maintenance and repairs at the Trump Kennedy Center.
Our goal has always been to not only save and permanently preserve the Center, but to make it the finest Arts Institution in the world. 
It desperately needs this renovation and temporarily closing the Center just makes sense - it will enable us to better invest our resources, think bigger and make the historic renovations more comprehensive. It also means we will be finished faster. President Trump has a reputation for delivering large construction projects on time, under budget and beautifully finished.
This will be a brief closure in retrospect - and I am confident this sets the stage for a stronger, revitalized National Cultural and Entertainment Complex.
