I would be happier as someone who owns property in Manhattan if the district attorney of New York County would take care of criminals who are making it impossible for citizens to walk in the streets and use the subway to use his efforts to keep those people off the street than to spend $5 million or $10 million of taxpayers' money trying Donald Trump on this nonsense.
That's my view.
But I, as a taxpayer in this country, resent using the system for your own personal self-aggrandizement.
Now, you didn't know...
-
And that's what you think the DA did in Manhattan?
-
That's what I think. I mean, if you look... You had to twist yourself into a pretzel to figure out what the crime was. He doesn't like them. New York City didn't like him for a while.

Trump?

Trump.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump - Tosca Austen @ToscaAusten
While Walz whips up rage against ICE and mobilizes the National
Guard amid violent Minneapolis protests...
The next taxpayer scam in the Land of 10,000 Lakes is already bubbling
away.
Imagine this...
Tim Walz's brand-new paid family leave program defines "family member" so broadly it includes ANYONE with a "close association equivalent to a family relationship" —virtually no limits.
Who comes up with these schemes-trouble by design?
Don't forget !! Minnesota's fraud nightmare under Walz.
The $250M+ stolen in Feeding Our Future, with billions potentially lost in
related welfare, daycare, scams.
Critics are sounding alarms, this lax setup opens the door WIDE to the next billion-dollar grift via paid "care" leave.
We've seen exactly how these programs get exploited before.
Walz hopes the anti-ICE chaos distracts you from connecting the dots.
Don't be distracted.
Demand audits and real safeguards NOW— before the abuse explodes.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump - Video: So you're telling me I can get a foreign doctor, without an American license, to just check a box and I get a state mandated paid vacation to Somalia or any other country, is that correct?
-
That is how the law was written by Democrats in Minnesota, yes.
-
This is going to stop and you folks are at the front of it. Minnesotans have had enough. We're hardworking people. We will not allow our tax dollars to go...
-
Imagine this. Minnesota taxpayers funding a paid vacation to anywhere in the world for anyone who claims to be providing care for someone without ever having to prove it.
No documentation, no verification, just a simple declaration.
And what's more troubling? This is real. It's happening right now.
-
The conversation started innocently enough with Representative Stauber questioning Representative Rarick about who could qualify for this paid family leave.
Rarick's answer was a bombshell.
It wasn't limited to close family members or dependents. It wasn't even limited to people living in the U.S.
In fact, under the law, if you simply say you're taking care of someone, anyone, your employer is legally obligated to give you paid time off for up to 12 weeks.
And here's the kicker, there's no requirement to prove any of it.
No doctor's note, no check-ins, nothing.
Someone could take off to Somalia, care for a friend, and get paid nearly 90% of their salary for it.
Stauber's line of questioning exposed just how wide open this loophole is.
