Our third grade teacher liked to have our parents come in and talk about their jobs, and she asked this kid’s dad to come in.

I don’t know if it was the odd hours he kept (he woke up at like 3 or 4 to go bake) or that he was shy, but he didn’t want to come in. What he would do, however, was record his day.

So I remember one day, we all sat at our desks with our heads down and our teacher played this cassette tape recording of Andrew’s dad talking about being a baker.
