Mayor Jacob Frey @MayorFrey - It’s -10 degrees and thousands still showed up strong in Minneapolis. That’s who we are.

Mayor Jacob Frey @MayorFrey - Crime is down across Minneapolis. Despite the federal gov’s chaotic operation, MPD is focused on keeping neighbors safe. They have recovered 74 illegal guns in the last two weeks, solved most recent homicides, and reduced gunshot victims by more than 30% compared to last year.

Mayor Jacob Frey @MayorFrey - After today’s shooting, Minneapolis is filing a declaration to push for an immediate ruling on our temporary restraining order. We need swift action to protect our city.

Mayor Karen Bass @MayorOfLA - As of January 1, 2026, federal ACA subsidies expired — meaning families across California are seeing higher monthly health care premiums. For Angelenos, this means higher costs, fewer affordable plan options, and more people at risk of going without coverage.
Placing this burden on working families already facing rising living and housing costs is extremely callous. Having worked in hospitals for years, I’ve witnessed how increasing healthcare costs can lead families into financial hardship. Reduced or lost health coverage leaves illnesses untreated, drives medical debt, and pushes more people into housing insecurity and homelessness.
Open enrollment runs through January 31, 2026. Compare plans, update your Covered California account, and check Medi-Cal eligibility by visiting
