Japan quietly became the #1 foreign holder of U.S. debt again.

Because U.S. Treasuries are still the safest asset on Earth, even in a chaotic world.
RUSSIA PROVED THE NIGHTMARE
When Russia invaded Ukraine, $300B+ in reserves were frozen overnight.
Beijing took notes.
That’s why they didn’t dump everything — they’re terrified of a Russia-style freeze.
BOTTOM LINE
China’s “Sell America” strategy:
Loud, dramatic, ineffective.
Japan:
Buying. Quiet. Smart.
Russia:
Frozen out of the global system forever.
