Mayor Karen Bass @MayorOfLA - Even though it’s not dominating the headlines, ICE raids continue in Los Angeles every day — ripping families apart and terrorizing our communities. ICE was seen today in the Fashion District, an area still struggling months after past raids drove away customers and left workers afraid to return. This Administration used Los Angeles as the blueprint for racial profiling policies and the illegal takeover of our cities.
This is not just a local problem; it is a national crisis. The shooting of Keith Porter here in Los Angeles by an off-duty ICE agent on New Year’s Eve, and the killing of Renee Good, a mother in Minneapolis, during a federal operation, should never have happened. Their deaths demand action and accountability at every level of government.
New reporting has raised serious concerns about the lack of oversight and vetting as ICE rapidly expands. As armed, masked agents are sent into neighborhoods nationwide, the public deserves clear answers about who they are, how they are trained, and who is responsible for their conduct. Families should not have to live in fear of unidentified federal agents showing up in their neighborhoods.
We are seeing powerful resistance to this, from local leaders, community organizations, and everyday people who are organizing, standing up, and demanding accountability and justice. That collective pushback shows that communities across the country are refusing to look away.
We must continue to resist out of love for our neighbors, our children, and our future. In Los Angeles, we choose freedom over fear, unity over division, and justice over injustice, and we will continue to stand together.

#karenbass #alcaldesadeLA #AltoalasRedadas

Mayor Jacob Frey @MayorFrey - Minnesota needs ICE to leave, not an escalation that brings additional federal troops beyond the 3,000 already here. My priority is keeping local law enforcement focused on public safety, not diverted by federal overreach.

Mayor Muriel Bowser @MayorBowser - In 2025, DC had the lowest number of roadway fatalities since 2014.
Big picture:
1. Roadway fatalities: -52%
2. Major roadway injuries: -29%
3. Driver fatalities: -67%
Our strategies to improve traffic safety are working.

Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani @NYCMayor - Video: Today, I appointed Afua Atta-Mensah as the Chief Equity Officer and Commissioner of the Mayor’s Office of Equity & Racial Justice.
Afua has dedicated her career to serving the New Yorkers who are so often forgotten in the halls of power. In this new role, she will advance that mission across our government and deliver a more equitable city for all.
That work starts with finally fulfilling the city’s promise of a Preliminary Citywide Racial Equity Plan and embracing the diverse fabric that makes our city special.
